01 / Cloud and Data Services
Understand your environment. Establish control. Plan for continuity.
Digital services depend on more than hosting capacity. They require appropriate configuration, controlled access, maintained databases and practical arrangements for responding to disruption.
We help you understand these dependencies and assign responsibility for the work involved. Our approach considers the purpose of each system, the information it handles, its expected usage and the impact of an interruption.
The resulting scope identifies the environments covered, the activities commissioned and the responsibilities retained by your organisation and other providers.

What we provide
01Cloud environments and hosting management
Establish an environment suited to your application and its operating requirements.
We configure and administer agreed cloud and hosting resources, including computing, storage and supporting services. Where required, the scope includes separate development, testing and production environments.
Capacity, access and configuration decisions reflect the workload and the agreed operating budget.
02Application deployment
Move approved software into its intended environment through a controlled release process.
We support deployment configuration, environment settings and release procedures, coordinating with the development team and relevant providers.
Deployment plans identify prerequisites, responsibilities and the arrangements for reverting a release where necessary.
03Database administration
Support the information systems behind your digital services.
We provide agreed database setup, configuration, access administration and routine maintenance. The scope may include performance reviews, storage management and operational checks.
Responsibilities are defined around the database technology, the application and the information being processed.
04Data migration
Transfer information through a planned and verifiable process.
We assess the source and destination, agree the data to be moved and define the transformation and validation work required.
Migration planning can include trial transfers, reconciliation checks, cutover arrangements and a recovery plan. Your organisation confirms the business meaning and completeness of the transferred information against agreed criteria.
05Access management
Make administrative responsibility and access permissions clear.
We configure agreed user roles, privileged access and authentication controls. Access arrangements identify who can administer each environment and how changes are authorised.
Where commissioned, periodic reviews help identify accounts or permissions that require amendment or removal.
06Backup and recovery
Define how essential information and systems will be protected and restored.
We establish backup schedules, retention settings and restoration procedures for the systems in scope. Recovery objectives are agreed in relation to business needs, technical dependencies and budget.
Restoration testing can be included to assess whether the agreed arrangements work in practice and to record any corrective actions.
07Monitoring and operational review
Maintain visibility of the condition of supported environments.
We configure and review agreed alerts, logs and service indicators to help identify issues requiring attention.
The service agreement distinguishes automated monitoring from staffed response, specifying review frequency, support hours and escalation responsibilities.
08Cloud cost management
Understand what your environment costs and why.
We help organise usage information, establish budgets or alerts and review changes in expenditure. Where appropriate, we identify opportunities to adjust capacity, storage or configuration.
Recommendations consider operating needs and service commitments alongside potential savings.
Discuss Your Service Requirements↗ 03 / Cloud and Data Services
Clear visibility of your cloud costs.
We distinguish three components when preparing a proposal.
01Implementation
The engineering work required to configure, migrate or change an environment.
02Ongoing management
The recurring Greenovus services commissioned to administer and support defined systems.
03Third-party consumption and licences
Charges for computing, storage, data transfer, software and other supplier services.
Where practical, supplier accounts remain in the client’s name, with authorised access delegated to Greenovus. Where a different arrangement is required, billing, access and transfer provisions are documented.
This structure helps your organisation understand its commitments and approve changes with the relevant cost information.
04 / Cloud and Data Services
Data arrangements matched to your requirements.
01Hosting and processing locations
We identify the proposed hosting and backup locations, together with relevant support-access arrangements. These are considered separately so that your organisation can assess where its information is stored and accessed.
02Information lifecycle
Where included in the scope, we configure retention, archiving and deletion processes against your approved requirements.
03Provider responsibilities
Cloud operations may involve Greenovus, the infrastructure provider, software vendors and your internal team. We document the relevant division of responsibility and identify dependencies that affect delivery.
04Sensitive systems
Environments handling sensitive information or supporting critical services require additional consideration. We define the necessary technical controls and specialist assurance work before making production-service commitments.
Your organisation retains responsibility for determining its legal and sector-specific obligations, supported by appropriate professional advice.

How we begin
011. Assess the current position
We review the systems, available documentation, access arrangements, suppliers, operating costs and known issues relevant to the engagement.
022. Define the required service
We agree the environments covered, management tasks, recovery requirements, support coverage and client responsibilities.
033. Implement or transition
We configure the agreed arrangements or take over defined responsibilities through a planned transition. Material gaps and dependencies are recorded and assigned for action.
044. Review and improve
Where ongoing management is commissioned, service reviews provide visibility of completed work, incidents, capacity, costs and recommended changes.

What your organisation receives
Depending on the engagement, deliverables may include:
- An inventory of supported environments and key dependencies.
- Environment configuration and deployment documentation.
- An access and responsibility record.
- Migration plans and validation results.
- Backup schedules and restoration procedures.
- Recovery-test records where testing is commissioned.
- Monitoring and escalation arrangements.
- Usage and cost reports.
- A prioritised record of risks and recommended improvements.
- Agreed handover and transition documentation.
The proposal specifies the deliverables and reporting frequency, together with any limitations or third-party dependencies.

Connected to the rest of your technology service.
Cloud management works best when it is coordinated with application development, maintenance and release planning.
Greenovus can bring these responsibilities together through the Greenovus Digital Partnership, connecting ongoing operations with approved technical improvements and a common reporting structure.
